Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Speech on Independence Day 2017 | Clean India Mission Speech

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan 2017 Speech

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan also called Clean India Mission and abbreviated as SBA or SBM for is a national campaign by the Government of India, covering 4,041 statutory cities and towns, to clean the streets, roads and infrastructure of the country.
The campaign was officially launched on 2 October 2014 at Rajghat, New Delhi, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It is India's biggest ever cleanliness drive and 3 million government employees and school and college students of India participated in this event.
Must Try>>>Happy Independence Day 2017 in US
The concept of cleanliness is a flawed one here in India. We keep our houses clean till they sparkle but litter the street outside like nobody’s business. Peeing on roads, tossing away litter from the car is just another day for many of us. We are a religious nation, but we forget that cleanliness is next to godliness, and this is exactly what the ad tries to drive home.
The Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan has been an attempt to create awareness and promote clean habits among us as a society. But there’s only so much the government can do. The change needs to occur at a grass root level. We need to respect our streets just like we respect our homes.

The main motto to organize this event was to make people aware about importance of cleanliness.
"To be clean is to be civilized”

So This Independence Day 2017 we should pledge to make our country clean and beautiful.
